CECity Receives International WebAward for
CE Medicus® Continuing Medical Education Portal

Follows William Campbell Felch/Wyeth Award and Nettie Nomination in 2004

PITTSBURGH, September 15, 2004 - CECity.com, Inc. (CECity) the leading technology provider of online continuing medical education, quality improvement and distribution solutions, has been awarded the 2004 "Standard of Excellence" WebAward for the CE Medicus® continuing medical education (CME) portal (http://www.cemedicus.com).

This award, presented annually by the Web Marketing Association, is the premier annual competition designed to recognize the organizations and people responsible for developing some of the most effective websites on the Internet today. Entries are judged on seven criteria, including design, innovation, interactivity, technology, and ease of use.

The CE Medicus® CME web portal is built upon CECity's award winning MyCECity Enterprise eLearning platform and is supported through an unrestricted educational grant from Merck & Co., Inc. It was designed to provide busy healthcare professionals with convenient online access to the World's largest library of accredited continuing healthcare education. Currently, the CE Medicus® catalog contains a comprehensive library of activities from today's thought leaders, offering more than 9,000 CME and CE credits online from over 50 medical education providers.

Through the CE Medicus® web service, healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses and pharmacists, are able to meet state licensing board mandates that require them to complete up to fifty hours of CME each year in order to be re-licensed. Continuing medical education is recognized to be a critical component of the healthcare professional's post-graduate education, allowing them to remain current with the latest in science and technology, in order to enhance their performance and improve the quality of care to their patients.

Earlier this year, CE Medicus® was nominated for the "Best CME Directory" Nettie award and CECity was honored with the prestigious 2004 William Campbell Felch/Wyeth Award for Research in CME through CE Medicus®, for the Study of Continuing Online Physician Education (S.C.O.P.E.), which measured the impact of CME on physician knowledge and practice behavior.
